Rich black fruits ooze from this densely textured wine. Layered with sweet vanilla and coffee notes from time in oak, there's good length and supple tannins to give a pleasant silky finish.
The wine was aged for 6 months French oak originating from the best forests in France, such as Allier, Tronçais, vers and Bertranges.
Enjoy with most meat dishes, particularly lamb (preferably without chilli).
In the heart of Ribera del Duero, in the Valladolid district of Piñel de Arriba, stands the Valtravieso estate, surrounded by its vineyards, in the fashion of a French chateau. Valtravieso is a new and dynamic winery which has, in spite of its young age, demonstrated its outstanding character and personality, ever since the first vintage came on the market in 1994.
The philosophy of Valtravieso is to make the most out of the resources nature has to offer, to produce a wine that is unique, a wine that is full of sensations and that expresses the singularity and personality of its vineyard and land of origin. Thanks to the skill of its people and by blending the most ancient traditions of this land with excellent state-of-the-art production processes, the wine obtained is expressive and of the highest quality.
