This is the fruit of an impeccable selection of only the best plots, vinified and matured with the utmost care and attention by Maison Sichel. Sirius 2009 shows great concentration with a structure that is unctuous whilst retaining excellent balance, as per the grands vins de Bordeaux.

Sirius is made with the same care and attention (very strict selection of grapes, latest vinification techniques and aging methods) that is usually reserved for Grand Cru Classe wines. The result is a rich, soft wine with excellent length. Sirius combines elegance, finesse and character. A true modern classic.

The wine may form natural and harmless sediment which will not impair its quality.

Tasting notes for Sirius Bordeaux 2009

Garnet, medium intensity in colour, nice clear tears on glass.

Rich and powerful on nose, lots of spice, hedgerow fruit (raspberry, loganberry), fabulous toasty/smoky notes at back. Really intense.

Soft, slightly dry tannins, good acidity, burst of red fruit - great balance of sweet and sour - lovely soft minerality on finish and tons of length.

PS Finished off with roast beef, match made in heaven. Juicy red fruit, minerality and acidity complementing so well, really delicious!
