Central Valley, Chile

Perky lemon-lime colour with a lifted, bright nose of grapefruit, herbs and pineapple. The light-bodied, crisp palate is full of delicious citrus, gooseberry, peach and melon notes - a beautiful potpourri of summer flavours!

Enjoy on its own, as an aperitif, or with a seafood platter, Greek salad or baked cod and pea purée.

David González, an inveterate perfectionist with thirty years' experience, is producer Santa Alicia's chief winemaker. Much of the grapes for this wine are sourced from the Maipo region, which surrounds Chile's capital Santiago. The Central Valley region runs for 400km south of Santiago, where plantings are dominated by the well known "international varieties".

Santa Alicia is a past winner of 'Chilean Winery of the Year.' Curious Wines introduced the range to the Irish market in the late noughties and the wines have since gone from strength to strength on the basis of their genuinely excellent price-quality-ratio.
