Santa Gloria Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Maipo Valley, Chile

Deep cherry red in colour, a warm inviting nose of damson and cherry is followed by the gentlest texture imaginable.  Aromas of prunes, chocolate, some notes of Menthol characteristic from the Valley and toasted oak are also obvious. The palate is well structured with firm tannins.

Enjoy with barbequed meat and flavoured cheese.

The Gran Reserva wines of Santa Alicia (Santa Gloria) are fermented in small batches, separated by grape variety and lot, picking date and pressing. Each batch is individually selected and managed in order to avoid any risks during the process. One hundred percent of the wine is aged in French oak for 12 months before being aged in the bottle for a further 12 months.

Santa Gloria (Alicia) is a past winner of 'Chilean Winery of the Year.' Curious Wines introduced the range to the Irish market in the late noughties and the wines have since gone from strength to strength on the basis of their genuinely excellent price-quality-ratio.
