Quinta Seara d'Ordens Dry White Port

Douro, Portugal

Buy Now:

Often overlooked in favour of the more familiar reds but Dry White Port is an absolute treat!
Produced from a blend of four native grapes (Fernão Pires, Cercial, Malvasia-Fina and Gouveio Real - you're sorry you asked, right?), cool fermented to near dryness with extended skin maceration providing extra body and flavour. The result is a dry style of white Port, lightly golden in colour with delightful flavours of warm hazelnuts, almonds and honey, and a fresh, spirity finish.
Try chilled as an aperitif or with tonic water, ice and lemon - delicious!
The Leite family settled in Poiares Seara, in Portugal's now renowned Douro wine and Port region, in the late 18th century, immediately planting vineyards, olive groves and almond trees, some of which survive to this day. Quinta Seara d'Ordens was derived from the military commander son, who based himself at the estate (quinta) and gave orders (ordens) to the soldiers under his command.
Over two hundred years later the estate remains in the Leite family, with João Leite Moreira the latest custodian overseeing production of high quality DOC Douro wines and continuing a long tradition of producing outstanding Ports.
