Zippy and cool, full of crisp, green fruits - melon, papaya, apple - with hints of saltbush and quince. Poised, precise style, offering great refreshment!

Try with pesto-coated grilled chicken or seafood linguine.

This tasty Portuguese branco (white) is a stainless steel-fermented blend of Encruzado, Sercial, Malvasia and Bical. Very few classic Portuguese wines are varietal/just one grape.

Dão, just south of the Douro/Port region and encircled by benevolent mountain ranges, is one of Portugal's top wine spots. Taking its name from the Dão river, along which most of the region's vineyards are planted on granitic soils at 150-450m, its best whites are based (as here) on Encruzado, the appellation's most-planted light-skinned grape. Dão wines are sometimes compared to Burgundy's, with both being subtle, elegant and made for the table.
