Appealing, up-front aromas of fresh, ripe berry fruit mingle with light spice and minty eucalyptus flavours in the mouth. Smooth and full on the palate with a nicely balanced structure, sweet, ripe fruit on the finish and a hint of spice. 

Predominantly produced from Merlot, with fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel retains the fresh fruit character of the wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon is barrel aged in American oak which add a little richness and complexity to the blend.

Perfect for BBQ's or with simple pasta and pizza dishes.

Tasting notes for Outrider Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Quite light in colour.

Red fruit prominent on the nose with spice, vanilla and maybe a touch of eucalyptus. 

On the palate this is a drier styled red with that red fruit coming through again. Well structured with soft tannins and good acidity.

Not sugary like some other inexpensive Aussie reds - and all the better for it.
