Rich ruby-red colour, with an articulate bouquet of cherry pie, cinnamon and crushed violets. Full and velvety on the palate, the tannins are silky soft and the flavours redolent of ripe blackberry, plum jam and coffee cake. Beautiful effort.

Gorgeous to drink on its own and brilliant, too, with any grilled foods or strong cheddar.

Cotes du Crow’s is  blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah from the Arroyo Seco and San Lucas appellations of Monterey County. Fermented in traditional open-top tanks, the wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barrique (10% new).

Dan and Donna Lee's Morgan Winery made its first wine in 1982 and in the decades since has become synonymous with artisan, terroir-driven wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands and Monterey. Hailing from a small town in California’s Central Valley, Dan originally studied veterinary medicine at the University of California, Davis, before switching to oenology.
