'Umbrella' is our nickname for Marques de Puerta Vella.

Fruity, floral and crisp with clean lemony flavours and a dry, refreshing finish.

Perfect party wine or aperitif. If pairing with food, lighter fish and chicken dishes are the way to go.

Macabeo is a white grape that is grown either side of the Pyrenees mountains. Commendably versatile, it is used for still, sparkling (Cava), dry and sweet wines. Depending on what is done with it, Macabeo can be thirst-quenching, simple and fruity (as here) or - with later harvested, oaked examples - weighty and nutty. Macabeo is used in Rioja, where it is known as Viura.

Cariñena is a DO/appellation (wine region) in Aragon, northern Spain. Most of its vineyards are located at fairly high altitude - 400–800m - and are scattered along the plains of the River Ebro. The climate is continental, with big temperature swings that help the grapes preserve freshness and aroma, and a brisk northerly wind – the Cierzo – that helps keep the vines perky, productive and super healthy.
