Slender, perfumed red blend with delicate weight, gentle tannins and old-world flavours of cherry, plum, pencil shavings and peony petal. Very pretty!
Chill lightly (especially in summer) and pair with game terrine or fig and prosciutto sandwich.
Les Lunelus rouge is a blend of Gamay (the Beaujolais grape), Malbec (known locally as Côt) and the great red variety of the Loire, Cabernet Franc.
Eighteen-hectare Les Lunelus is located on the slopes of the Cher river, a tributary of the Loire. Proprietor Pierre Angier comes from a family that has been making wines since 1900.
