Languedoc & SW France, France

Brilliant garnet-red robe with a frank attack of ripe black fruit, cedar and spicy cocoa. Powerful, racy and fine, with outstanding persistence. Bravo!
Aerate for two or more hours and have with robust meaty casseroles, hard cheeses or steak Diane.
Le Mas de l’Ecriture, run by Pascal Fulla (who had 20 years as a 'juriste', or legal expert, before turning to wine) and his daughter Lea, is situated in the sunny south of France, a short drive from Montpellier. The superb terroir, between the Mediterranean and the Larzac plateau, features rugged, limestone soils swept by the mistral and tramontane winds. The wines of Mas de l'Ecriture have been certified organic since 2012. Les Pensées is a traditional blend of 45% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Cinsault and 10% Carignan.
Known formerly as ‘Coteaux du Languedoc Terrasses du Larzac‘, the youthful appellation of  'Terrasses du Larzac' was approved by INAO mandarins only in 2014. The region, NW of Montpellier, encompasses 2,000 hectares of vines, 60 producers and 5 cooperatives. Terrasses du Larzac must by law be red, and made from a minimum of three varieties from Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan, Syrah and Cinsault.

Tom Fiorina

“To say that Fullá is a perfectionist is like saying that fellow Catalan Salvador Dalí was a skilled draftsman. This is a jewel of a vineyard."

Jamie Goode, Wine Anorak

"Pascal Fulla's wines are among the best wines being made in the Languedoc today."

Jancis Robinson MW

"Very charming and easy to love."
