Latido de Sara Wild Garnacha 2015

Navarra, Spain

Buy Now:

Perky, light-hearted red with soft tannins and fruit-driven flavours of cherry and blackberry, intermingled with hints of pepper and orange peel. Lively on the palate, with good intensity of flavour and a succulent, refreshing finish.

Lovely on its own or with barbecued spare ribs or burgers.

Latido tinto is crafted from 100% Grenache grown at 650m above sea level on poor, yield-limiting limestone slopes. Unoaked, it is made in a fresh, easy drinking style that benefits from a light chilling before drinking, especially in warmer weather.

Navarra is a Spanish wine region immediately north of Rioja. It's capital is Pamplona, famous for the 'running of the bulls.' Traditionally a pink wine region, today it specialises more in fruity, sometimes-oaky reds made from Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot and Garnacha (Grenache). Most of Navarra's vineyards cling to the lower slopes of the Pyrenees, which divide Spain and France.
