Decanter: Four Stars and 'Highly Recommended'

Grapes used are from the Montecorna (a hillside in the classic zone) vineyard. 

Decanter, December 2009: Perfumed ripe cherry fruit, mint and rosemary. Elegant and juicy cherry fruit. Aromatic finish.

An intense, almost granite colour, and a scent of black cherries under spirits, wild black berries marmalade, pepper, liquorice, and leather. When brought to the mouth they are all amplified, and its great structure is compensated with a perfect harmony obtained in part from the ageing in new wooden oak barrels.

Enjoy with any meat dish, roasts and sharp aged cheeses.
