Piercing and cool with a bracing, invigorating wash of crunchy green apple, lime zest and basil. Exceptionally refreshing, with a heart of succulent green fruits and chopped herbs. Lovely!

Chill well and quaff on its own or use to wash down whitebait fritters.

Winemaker Cédric Garzuel has an remarkable track record, including a year's experience making wines at Australia's Petaluma and a stint at Pauillac's Lynch-Bages. Philippe crafted this white from local grapes Colombard, Gros Manseng and Ugni Blanc, adding just a dart of zippy Sauvignon.

Côtes de Gascogne is in the Armagnac region of southwest France. Production is mostly dry white made from Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano), one of the grapes used to make Cognac. Colombard (also used for brandy) is the other mainstay of white blends here.
