A Bordeaux recipe blend of Merlot (45%), Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Malbec (5%), from the excellent 2015 vintage.
Produced to a modern style using the latest technologies and vinification techniques, with temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic fermentation and reduced filtering all contributing to a fresh, bright, fruit-forward style. In the glass this translates to fresh red berries and floral notes on the nose, with savoury tannins supporting a rich, slightly creamy and full-flavoured palate, bursting with fruit and spice.
Situated in the old commune of Saint-Romain, between Graves and Saint-Emilion, Château Bellevue was established in the 17th century by the Lestelle family. Today it is owned by the de Ponton d’Amécourt Family who acquired the property in 1973 and proceeded with extensive modernisation over the next 20 years, including vineyard replanting. Yves d'Amécourt oversees winemaking with cellermaster Daniel Sore.
