Straw yellow in colour with golden tones. Aromas of fresh-cut grass, anise, fennel, hay and hints of apple preceed a flavoursome, fresh and very well-balanced palate. The finish is very persistent, full-bodied, with a lasting aftertaste.

Castelo de Medina is a top Rueda winery, with its own venerable vineyards and cutting-edge technology. Its specialty is Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Viura, of which it has 160 hectares dedicated to.

Rueda possesses exceptional natural resources for the production of top-quality wines. It specialises in making internationally renowned white wines. The D.O. was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1980. It was the first Denomination of Origin to be approved in the Region of Castilla y León, after years of hard work in order to earn acknowledgement and protection for its trademark grape variety, Verdejo.

Liam Campbell, Irish Independent (4th may 2013): "Pithy flavours and zesty citrus fruits delivered in a waxy texture that holds the crisp acidity in check."
