Made from botrytis-affected berries hand harvested in late July. After pressing, the juice is fermented in French oak barrels, then aged for a further twelve months. Intense aromas of mandarine, fresh apricot and crème brulee. On the palate, the luscious wash of ripe peach is framed by bracing acidity, with rich notes of toasted almonds, walnut and a lengthy honeyed finish. Exceptional!

Casas del Bosque is a premium boutique Chilean winery located in the region of Casablanca Valley, 60 miles north-west of the capital city Santiago. Twice awarded Chile’s Winery of the Year in the IWSC (International Wine and Spirits Competition), they are located in the cooler western side of Casablanca Valley, their most easterly vineyards reaching just 20 miles from the Pacific coastline. The direct sea influence of the Humboldt current, which carries winds from Antarctica up the length of the American continent, gives grapes an extra 10 days of hangtime in comparison to warmer vineyards further inland.
The cool-climate growing region of Casablanca Valley has a young history, dating back only as far as the 1980s, when the revitalisation of the Chilean industry led pioneering winemakers to start expansion projects into uncharted territories. The heavily ocean-influenced area was quickly recognised for the quality of fruit grown. Pinot Noir thrives in the cool ocean breezes, but the standout production is of snappy Sauvignon Blanc and bright Chardonnay with refreshing acidity.
