Appétit de France Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Languedoc & SW France, France

Buy Now:

Pale straw-green colour, with vibrant scents of elderflower, green pepper and nettle, and a piquant palate full of tangy citrus and herb characters.

Great on its own or with stir-fried chicken and ginger.

The quirky, colourful Appétit de France range is immediately eye catching and memorable, each label depicting an animal that makes a yum food match for the wine in question - cow for Cabernet, pig for Merlot, salmon for Chardonnay and (here) lobster for Sauvignon Blanc.
Producer Val d’Orbieu, based in Narbonne, was founded over 40 years ago and has grown since to become one of France’s biggest and most pioneering wine groups, specialising in keenly priced, palate friendly, attractively packaged wines from across the Languedoc's balmy terroirs - although the Appétit wines carry the more expansive Vin de France title.
