Leads with cool aromas of cherries, blackberries and crushed iris petal - captivating! The beautiful attack has vibrant red fruit and floral nuances, with hints of blood orange and blueberry jam. Sweet tannins and perfect acidity complete the pretty picture.

Pair with duck in cherry sauce or roast pork shoulder.

Founded in 2002 by Domaine Drouhin legend Bill Hatcher and his wife Debbie, A to Z has gone from blending in the Hatcher's kitchen to being Oregon's fastest growing winery. The winery uses biodynamic principles to farm on all owned/long-leased vineyards, and its noble mission is to offer "aristocratic wines at democratic prices."

Oregon, a boutique, family-heavy wine state, specialises in Pinot Noir (60% of production), Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Unheard-of fifty years ago, Oregon Pinots now rank among the very finest American wines. The best are uncannily similar to their Burgundy equivalents, and the mutual affinity between the two regions has led a number of Burgundy's wine icons (e.g. Drouhin) setting up shop in this cool, rainy state. Most of Oregon's vineyards are squeezed into the state's westernmost fifth, within 100 kilometres of the Pacific.
