Bodegas Arraez is a family winery with a long tradition. The winery was founded in 1916 and bought in 1950 by Antonio Arraez, who began to develop his own wines becoming one of the leaders in the Valencia region (Denominación de Origen Valencia).
The winery is located in the town of Fuente de la Higuera. They grow indigenous grapes like, Monastrell, Tempranillo, Garnacha Tintorera, Macabeo and Muscat, as well as some international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
Today, the company is in the hands of Toni Arraez (third generation), a young winemaker with great experience acquired from working in Ribera del Duero. With the right people and investment in the winery, Bodegas Arraez not only competes, but beats alot of the competition from the more recognised winemaking regions of Spain.
