Hello sunshine – Ramsay and Stein’s *other* favourite Bordeaux!
Grab a glass of sunshine
WITH THE SUNSHINE comes the opportunity to delight in one of our favourite year-round pink tipples.
Also on the lists of Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein, Château Bauduc’s Bordeaux Rosé spends much time in the shadow of its celebrity white stablemate – largely, it must be said, because of our climate and the fallacy that rosé should only be enjoyed in the sunshine! In fact we drink this all year round at home, the dry, fruity style as appealing as a food match to seafood or spicy dishes as it is as an aperitif.
Bauduc proprietor and winemaker Gavin Quinney on his flagship pink: “We harvest blocks of Merlot and Cabernet in the cool of night and press the grapes straight away for a lighter, Provençal-style rosé. Bone dry and fruity, it’s a sort of St-Tropez meets Bordeaux.”
Enjoy the rays!
