The Big Move is upon us, with our spanking new Cork premises opening next Wednesday, 30th June.

The stock clear-out from our Bandon warehouse is nearly complete, but we’re continuing the sale right up to the last minute, and will continue to apply the across-the-board discounts on all internet orders received up to midnight Tuesday, 29th June.

Deliveries, however, will be temporarily disrupted during the move. All orders received up to 1pm this Friday, will be dispatched and delivered as normal on the following Monday 28th. There will be no dispatches on Monday, so all orders received between 1pm Friday and 1pm Tuesday 29th will be dispatched Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday 30th.

The new, 2,500 square-foot, Curious Wines Warehouse will be open to the public, seven days a week, in Kinsale Road Commercial Centre (beside Smyths Toys), off the Kinsale Road roundabout, Cork. (Look out for the big green building, trust us, you can’t miss it!)

After officially announcing yesterday our impending ‘Big Move‘ to the city, we now need your help!

With around 20,000 bottles in our Bandon wine warehouse, we want to minimise the amount being moved to Cork, so we’re offering our best deal ever, for a limited time only, to help you reduce our stock levels.

From today, until the day we close the doors in Bandon between now and the end of June, across our entire range, we’re offering the following discounts on our regular retail prices:

• Spend €100, any mix, save 10%
• Spend €200, save 15%
• Spend €300, save 20%.

All prices on the website are normal retail selling prices, with the cost of your basket discounted at check-out depending on how much you’ve got in it.

This is a one-time deal, on existing stocks only, and the sale ends the minute we close the doors for the last time on our old warehouse. We apologise in advance as stock-outs will increase as we near the moving date, so please bear with us over the next few weeks.

Announced quietly on Twitter a number of weeks ago, it’s official: we’re moving!

With just a tinge of sadness, just 18 months after opening our Bandon wine warehouse, it is testimony to our wonderfully supportive customer base that we’ve outgrown it and are moving to the city.

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce the new home of Curious Wines will be the Kinsale Road Commercial Centre, Kinsale Road, Cork (or, to those with young kids, beside Smyths Toys off the Kinsale Road roundabout!).

The new Curious Wines warehouse will have 2,500 square feet of retail space, exclusively dedicated to our unique range of wines, and with seven day opening all year round. With licensing granted, work began last week on transforming the empty shell of Unit 36 into what will be an emporium for wine lovers, and the largest wine store in the city.

Moving will commence in the next couple of weeks with the intention to close Bandon and open in Cork by the end of June. Further details will be posted here on the blog as the time approaches.
