Australian night with Bleasdale: Free tasting, Thursday 6th September

On Thursday 6th September we welcome Peter Perrin of Bleasdale, Langhorne Creek, Australia, as part of an Australian night in Meades 126, Cork.
As Australia’s second oldest winery, family-owned since 1850, it’s fair to say the Potts family at Bleasdale have seen it all.
Winemaking is a craft held together by tall stories and romantic yarns – about the one great vintage when everything came together and the heartbreaking droughts that shrivelled the crop on the vine; the wine show trophy win which took a week to celebrate and the magical blending of nature and nurture which brought tears to your eyes; that new variety you planted and the young winemaker that made it sing…proving you’re never too old to learn.
When you’ve been around for six generations of winemaking you accumulate polished memories. There’s one in every glass.
There’ll be free sampling of the Bleasdale range, an opportunity to meet and chew the cork with Peter, Aussie food treats and tons more Aussie wines available by the glass at special prices.
This is an open event as part of the Curious Wine Club so no booking is required.
